Native to the Mediterranean, Calendula Extract and renewable Calendula Petals within our formulas are known for their skin soothing properties. For many centuries, Calendula has been commonly used in skincare products and highly regarded in both Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.
Allantoin
Allantoin is a compound found in the root of the comfrey plant, a hairy perennial Eurasian herb long used in herbal medicine. Within our formulas, Allantoin is known to soothe and comfort skin.
Great Burdock Root
Great Burdock Root has been used for centuries to moisturize dry skin. Known for its soothing properties, Great Burdock Root is also believed to help reduce oil.
After cleansing skin, moisten a sterile cotton pad with alcohol-free toner.
Smooth on skin in areas where needed, avoiding the eye area.
Apply day or night, after cleansing and before serum and/or moisturizer.
Alcohol-free toners are oftentimes gentler and help in preventing drying and de-hydration of the skin. Products that are not alcohol-free may disrupt the skin barrier and contribute to imbalance in the skin’s microbiome, causing irritation, dryness and redness.

In Upstate New York, Calendula seeds are planted in a liquid nutrient solution made of upcycled coconut fibers and grow year-round on vertical walls without using any soil. This is just one way we’re beginning to change how we responsibly source the ingredients in our beloved formula.
